Gents,
As your man on the scene in Auckland I can report that the entire Kiwi nation had collectively breathed-in nearly all the air south of the equator. 

What happens tonight will define New Zealand over the next few years. 

Win, and 24 years of disappointment and self doubt will melt away to a national celebration of monumental proportion that will see their prime minister and his party clear through the impending elections, 

Lose, and the incumbents may well get chucked aside, as the heart and soul of what being a New Zealander will be ripped from the bodies of 4 million rugby lovers. 

Rarely in sport are the stakes higher in human terms. 

For me, this RWC is about my boys and the beginning of their rugby journey. Royal and Vaughn will be there with Kirst and I, alongside Danny Anderson, Kevin Anderson's father. So Oxy supporters young and old will share the moment when a nation held it's breath and pinned it's future on the fortunes of 22 rugby men. 

Go The All Blacks!

Enjoy the party at Ocho's.

But more than anything else, appreciate the moment!

Tonight, is a moment that comes only once every four years.   Long long ago, a gentleman at Rugby School, with a fine disregard for the dummy's that kicked a ball around a pasture of grass did what any rational bipedal would do (think evolution) - he picked up the ball and ran with it.   And at the proverbial moment, the fine game of Rugby was born through defiance of idiocracy and in a beautiful node of evolution.
