I attended Tieger 09 yesterday, thanks to timely information by Mitesh. It was a fabulous event and well worth the Rs 1200 as well as the whole day spent. There were some very useful tips for entrepreneurs from veterans in the industry (check the Tieger speaker roaster) as well as some lively arguments. At the end the results of the competition was announced and I was pleasantly surprised to find one of our member (Jyothi?) who previously discussed here about her plans on opening a health juice bar won a prize in business plan competition.
Did I mention that the food was great? Can't comment on the wine as I am a teetotaler.

The winner of the contest was Nitin Jagnathan. His project is automatic meter reading, energy saving solution for street lights, water distribution management & disaster management.
josh, you mean enthusiasm? It was great.
There was lively debate on VC's, on their criteria for investment, business climate of Bengal.
I happened to mildly perturb one VC (Sequoa fund?) by Googling for a book he said wasn't available (Dummies Guide to Entrepreneurship) and mentioning that it was available in ebay for under 15 USD :)
The food was A-class, no expenses were spared.

TiE hosted yet another great event imho.
