Orange County Government Offices Closed on Monday, Feb. 2 |
All Orange County Government administrative offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, Feb. 2, due to unsafe driving conditions. Secondary roads remain in poor condition. In addition, temperatures will remain very close to freezing.
The following Orange County facilities will be closed:

- All Orange County Government administrative offices
- All Orange County Parks
- Seymour Senior Center and Passmore Senior Center
- Solid Waste and Recycling Centers, and Landfill/Disposal Center. (Recycling will not be collected)
- Both Orange County Library locations
|
Transit service will be delayed until 9 a.m. Orange County Public Transportation will not operate fixed route service. Service will be limited to Critical Care trips only.
The Cold Weather Cots program, which had been relocated to the Seymour Center for the weekend, will move back to its normal location at 828 MLK Jr. Blvd., Chapel Hill and operate from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Cold Weather Cots is an emergency shelter program run jointly by Orange County and IFC, which provides shelter for residents living unhoused during the winter. There are three separate sites for the emergency shelter:

- IFC HomeStart for Women & Families (2505 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill)
- Orange County Chapel Hill Shelter (828 MLK Jr. Blvd., Chapel Hill)
