"No to dollar store in White Cross"

Dear Board of Orange County Commissioners,

I ask you to reject the proposal of Glandon Forest Equity to develop the parcel in White Cross that will likely be used to build a dollar store on the lot. A dollar store is likely to disrupt the already established grocer, Bravo Market, in White Cross. Dollar stores are known to attract crime, and provide little economic advantage to the area due to few employees and typically low wages. There are already 4 dollar stores within 12 miles of White Cross. This proposal was defeated in 2022, and was recently rejected again by the Orange Co. planning board.
Please reject this proposal again.
