HR has recently received a request for participation in the County's Shared Leave Program from Ciara Baldwin with the Transportation department.
The employee is eligible for 80 of Shared Leave for a personal medical situation that requires their absence from work.
If you are interested in donating Annual Leave hours, complete the Shared Leave Donation form and submit it directly to Tanya Parker in the Human Resources Department by Wednesday, Sept 27, 2023.
You will click on the blue “Shared Leave Donation” hyper link above which will take you to the form for shared leave donation.
The donation of leave hours to another employee is strictly voluntary. Employees requesting Shared Leave will not be provided with the names of employees donating leave, however, Financial Services will be notified so that the donated time can be adjusted in KRONOS.
Please note: The minimum donation is 4 hours of Annual Leave. An employee may donate as much Annual Leave as they wish, up to the total eligible hours, as long as the donation does not drop the employee's Annual Leave balance below 80 hours. Sick Leave may not be donated. If you have any questions relating to the Shared Leave program, please email me at tapa...@orangecountync.gov.
