Dear BOCC,
I ask that you vote against the proposed UDO changes that would remove the Planning Board and County Commissioners from the subdivision review process.
As Orange County residents, we rely on our elected officials to serve as the final decision-makers for local development. Retaining this oversight is the only way community members have a voice in shaping our neighborhoods.
There is no justifiable reason to hand this authority over to administrative staff.
Thank you for your time and public service.

Dear Aadra Bhatt,

On behalf of the Orange County Board of Commissioners (BOCC), thank you for sharing your viewpoints about recent Orange County Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) amendments. The BOCC did not pass those proposed changes at the September 1 business meeting. However, the BOCC does want to support changes that benefit the community and looks forward to further discussions on these topics.

Sincerely,
Jean

Jean Hamilton, Chair

Orange County Board of Commissioners
