The Saltire Gallerie would like to invite you to the Outlander Exhibit at An Evening at the Hogg House, a one-of-a-kind public Scottish cultural event bringing Outlander costumes and art, Scottish traditions, and Scottish fine art together under one roof!
Saltire Gallerie owner, Laurel Kilgore, remarks, "The mission of Saltire Gallerie is curating a collection of Scottish fine art and British art of Scotland and bringing it to the historic house built by Jamie Hogg in Hillsborough. ⏰ 4:30-7:30 PM, immediately following the Outlandish Hillsborough Scottish Festival
The centerpiece of the evening is an exclusive Outlander exhibit, featuring:
- Claire Fraser's iconic white dress from her journey through the stones
- Jamie Fraser's Continental Army uniform from the Battle of Monmouth storyline
- Additional costumes and artwork connected to the hit series
- Artwork created by Outlander production artists, local artists, and 19th century art of Scotland
- A look at how Outlander's Revolutionary War storyline intersects with the real history of Scottish settlers in North Carolina
This exhibit offers fans a chance to see Outlander through a new historical lens, connecting the fictional world of Jamie and Claire Fraser with the very real Scottish immigrants who shaped North Carolina during the Revolutionary era. The evening will also feature entertainment provided by the Scottish Cultural Organization of the Triangle. Enjoy Scottish Highland dancing, traditional games, Scottish food, clan and tartan dress, and Scottish cultural demonstrations!
Tickets are available through Eventbrite. Parking is free, and the Hogg House is within walking distance of the Riverwalk and Hillsborough Visitor's Center. We hope to see you there!
