Dr. Ibrahim,

There are a couple of options. You could come to our meeting Tuesday at 7 pm at Whitted in Hillsborough and speak during public remarks for up to three minutes. You would need to refrain from talking about specific tenants or staff. So what might work better is to meet with me or a couple of other Commissioners on TEAMs or for coffee or a phone call. A third option is to connect you with the county deputy manager or manager for a meeting.  Please let me know what would work for you.

Good Day

I am a landlord with Orange County Housing Authority that has served and provided housing to many over the years. I need someone serving on the Board of Commissioners to respond to my email requesting time to speak to each of you about my experience with Orange County Housing Voucher program as well as the Orange County Rapid Rehousing Program, and Orange County Housing Authority. I do not know who else to go to, certainly not the staff of Orange County Housing or its Director Blake Rosser. I am requesting contact and time to address in person  with the Board of County Commissioners. I will otherwise will need to go to HUD. Again, I am respectfully asking for time to address the Board in person or virtually to the Board members and not a staff member.

Thank You Ms. Bedford. I would very much like to meet with you and hopefully any other board members who may want to join. I believe what will work best for me is a frank dialogue about some major concerns. I do not feel comfortable attending an official meeting whereby I might be facing anyone from Orange County Housing Authority. At least not for now but perhaps later after a preliminary informal meeting with hopefully more than one person. I can attend a meeting  at a later time but for now I need to be able to speak openly and frankly and honestly without worry.  I would like to speak specifics, from my several years experience with OCHA.  I can meet with you and hopefully any others from the board on an informal basis. There would be less reliance on one person to relay pertinent issues if I am able to speak to more than one person. I would not mind meeting with the county deputy manager if he/she can be a part of my meeting with the commissioners as a group or just one or two of you. My intention is to bring up some very concerning issues and providing them to only one person would not have the impact or allow for active participation and input amongst you as a group when you do meet.  I can meet any Monday or Friday,  at any time, if you need to coordinate a good time for whoever may join. It does not have to be tomorrow if you need time to see if more than one person can join. There is no urgency for now.
