Funding OC Arts!

Dearest and respected Commissioners,

I’m writing with a sincere plea to preserve funding for the Orange County Arts Commission at its current levels. 

The arts are an integral part of Orange County and the OCAC plays a huge role in the economic engine of the county. Every $1 invested brings $16 in return to our community. This is not nothing—far from it, in fact. 

The OCAC, through events and programming at the Mill, also brings high quality events to our community at low to zero cost. At a time when the cost of doing anything besides paying for basic necessities feels more out of reach for more people, these events are an amazing way to make the arts accessible to everyone in our community. The proposed cuts would severely hinder that programming. 

Thank you for your consideration and attention to and regarding this important matter. And thank you for your service in a difficult role during difficult times. I ask once again to please keep the OCAC as close to fully funded as possible.
