Dear Chair Price and Esteemed Commissioners,
I just spent the past couple of weeks helping my son move in just
outside of Charlottesville in Albemarle County, VA. It made me
extremely grateful for the recycling program Orange County provides its
residents. Having to separate all types and also take to a crowded
recycling center was an absolute pain and I imagine is a deterent for
many residents to participate. OC's curbside program and willingness to
handle mixed streams, even in these days of reduced recycling demand is
truly a blessing I didn't fully appreciate until I saw up close how hard
the alternative is. Thank you.
