Dear Orange County Commissioners,
I hope you are doing well and enjoyed the holidays. One of my favorite parks is Little River Park. It is a wonderful place I enjoy visiting. When my children were small, we were frequently there for the Tiny Trekkers program, star gazing events, etc. Now, I am a regular at the park for long hikes in nature. While I love the park and its staff, I would appreciate some improvements to the driveway.
The road into the park is filled with potholes! In the summer during dry spells, clouds of dust follow every car that drives down the lane. I have seen park rangers using a machine with a bucket to scrape the gravel to manage this situation, but within a few weeks, the potholes seem to reappear. This is a beloved park to many, & the whole experience would be much enhanced if the entry road & parking lot were easier to manage.
I have been to other parks that have paved driveways, and they are much more pleasant to enter and exit. If there is any way to pave the driveway at Little River, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Kathleen Little
