Greeting OC Employees,
It’s that time of year……..Annual Flu Vaccinations! Flu vaccination is a safe and effective way to prevent illness, reduce severity of infection and protect people around you who are at higher risk for severe illness and complications, including infants, older adults, and those with compromised immune systems.
The Health Department will offer two flu vaccination clinics for County Employees on:
These will be drive thru clinics. Wear short sleeves or layers so your arm can be easily accessed.
Bring your health insurance card with you. Please note that the Health Department does not have a high-dose flu vaccine available this year; all adults will receive the FluBlok vaccine. If you are an older adult or have a condition where you would prefer to receive the high-dose vaccine, you may wish to be vaccinated separately.
COVID Vaccine
The department does not have COVID vaccine at this time. For those that wish to receive a COVID vaccine, you can visit a local pharmacy, confirm your eligibility based on CDC guidelines, and receive the COVID-19 vaccine. You no longer need a prescription from your provider for this.
Who is eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine?
