Good afternoon Orange County Commissioners,
From everyone on team Kidzu, we wanted to thank you for setting aside some of the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for the Restart the Arts program! Kidzu just received notice from the Orange County Arts Commission that we received Restart the Arts funding to support our arts-based programming. The arts are at the core of all we do, and the primary captivator of imagination and full-on engagement for the children and families we serve. We could not have made it through this past year and a half without the support of our community. We have learned so much about our community and how we can best serve all children and families in Orange County, whether that is virtually through our Kidzu@Home offerings or in-person in our museum, which has been a hub for much-need, restorative play.
We are extremely grateful for this funding! Thank you Orange County Commissioners and OCAC for this opportunity.
