Public Invited to Provide Input on Proposed Changes to the Orange County Transit Annual Work Program

Changes to the Orange County Fiscal Year 2026 Annual Work Program (FY26AWP) for Transit are being considered in the fourth quarter, and residents are invited to review the changes and provide comments until April 27, 2026. Feedback from the public will help members of the Orange County Staff Working Group (SWG) develop priorities.

The FY26 AWP emphasizes continued support for transit operations and capital investments. The changes below are being considered for the fourth quarter.

Each of the transit operators has provided information about the amendments being proposed, available using the links below.

People can send feedback and comments to: Transport...@OrangeCountyNC.gov

The SWG addresses current transit challenges such as rising costs, service expansion, and improving access to stops and park-and-ride facilities. It also reviews annual work plans and budgets, updates project programming and financial models, and develops project agreements. It is comprised of technical staff and representatives from the County, Triangle West Transportation Planning Organization, GoTriangle, Chapel Hill, Mebane, Hillsborough, and Carrboro.
