Hello,

Orange County rests as a county that once included Caswell and other neighboring counties. My family is historic to this region, and we can touch the tombstones of our grandparents. These aunts, uncles, and cousins were enslaved people, ranging from the creator of Brightleaf Tobacco to famous civil rights cases like Mat Mack Ingram. We have an aunt buried in Beechwood Cemetery, a former slave who was sold away to Durham from our grandpa, her father, in Caswell with her mother and sister, away from her siblings. She is archived in the Library of Congress. 

We need to ensure that respect and reparations are paid federally and that the OCBOC acknowledges in all its imperfect work that needs to become better than all the money in its budget in the nation. The OCBOC need be pressuring federally for reparations in money and policy to those of us who possess US Slave Schedules in our families. 

The money that built the global economy comes from US Chattel Slavery. And that is documented on the US Slave Schedule upon which I am found.

We are currently experiencing a migrant crisis, and my community, who share my lineage, are being genocided.

Our money, the trillions owed to us, and land owed to us, which keeps us in poverty and death, cannot go to migrants and maintain us as the 500-plus-year underclass. 

I am joined by millions who admonish all governments for genocidal policies. 

This results in political upheavals locally and globally, and ultimately, any politicians who continue the genocide of my people will find themselves without a job. 

We organize efficiently, and we will gladly fire you so fast your heads will spin.

I expect in short order that my county, my ancestral land, Orange County, NC, will not take up the flooding migrant nonsense happening in Atlanta or NY if it cherishes its jobs.
