Participation of BOCC in our 2026 Community Treasures Event

Dear BOCC Commissioners,

Thank you so much for your participation in our 2025 Community Treasures event at the Seymour Senior Center, and your proclamations honoring Leo Allison and Jean Earnhardt.  This year's event will take place at the Seymour Center on Saturday, November 21, from 2 to 4 PM. This year's nominees include Elvira Mebane, a resident of the Efland Community, and long time County Commissioner Moses Carey. We would very much appreciate it if  Commissioners could attend and present these two honorees with proclamations. We will be preparing short narratives for Mr. Carey and Ms. Mebane shortly, and we will be happy to make them available to you to prepare the proclamations.
