Dear Commissioners:
As you know, the community surrounding Union Grove Farm (UGF) has been actively opposing UGF’s efforts to secure approval for an amphitheater. The proposed location for the amphitheater is on land the Nutters of Maple View Farm placed in a forever farming conservation easement with the Triangle Land Conservancy. UGF has been (allegedly) violating the terms of the conservation easement since 2023.
The Triangle Land Conservancy has filed a complaint in the Orange County Superior Court against UGF for violations of the conservation easement. Here is a copy of a press release regarding the complaint:
