Game #5 - Czech Republic Game Summary

Buddy for 3 innings.
Hitting - Tim was 2/2 with a walk, and Steven, Matthew, Anthony were
2/3. Alex, Matt and Sam had doubles, and Anthony had a triple. Cole,
Alex, Jordan, Steve, Tim and Makoto all had one walk, and Sam had 2
walks. Alex, Dylan, Andrew, Sam and Makoto each had one hit.
We played at 12:30, and the field was "very" dusty. We played hard
and did "lots" of sliding. Our blue shirts and socks were laundered
today in the kitchen sink, and there was an inch of field-residue left
in the bottom of the sink. Makoto had two (head-first) slides
(safelyl) into second base - he wins the new nickname of "Dusty" for
the day.
Sam had a great play at third base, diving to his left, got up and
threw the batter out at first.
Three players stole third base - Sam, Makoto, Alex, and . . . . Andrew
(yes, Andrew!).
The starting pitcher from Czech threw 95 pitches - and did a great
job.
Tomorrow we play in the Championship game at 4:00 p.m. We'll find out
later tonight who we play.
