Adapt to Epipolar Geometry

Hello.
Given a general monocular visual odometry method based on epipolar geometry that performs the equation E = K^(-1)*F*K to calculate the essential matrix, is it possible to adapt this equation to the this camera model (in particular, fisheye camera model calibrated with ocamcalib)?
