I hope that the season of giving is treating you well! We are coming down to the wire to meet our year end campaign goal and need your help! Just wanted to give a quick shout out to the chapters who have pledged or given to this year’s campaign already:
- OCA – New York: $5,000
- OCA – Greater Sacramento: $2,000
· OCA – Greater Seattle: $1,000
· OCA – Greater Washington, DC: $1,000
· OCA – Greater Cleveland: $500

If you have not made a pledge yet, we would love to have it. By now, an EC member should have contacted you as well, but look out for an email or phone call from them in the coming days.

I hope that you all had a great weekend! Just a quick update that we are 54% the way to our goal of $88,000 by December 31st! I’d like to personally thank the following chapters for their support!

We are so grateful that you have stepped up to support OCA’s advocacy work and help support the next generation of AAPI Leaders. For all chapters who are considering a pledge/gift to the campaign, WE NEED YOUR HELP. This is the time to make your pledge so that we can go into the new year strong!

Dear Chapter Presidents:
On behalf of OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates, I’d like to extend a very happy holiday greeting! The holiday season is a time to give thanks and I’d like to show my appreciation by thanking you, the OCA chapter leaders. The chapters are the lifeblood of OCA and we cannot do it without you.
Over the last three years, we have worked hard to find opportunities to support our chapters through staff expertise, programs, and grants including: chapter internships, funding for low-cost internet promotion, tax-aide volunteerism, Southwest Airline voucher distribution, membership growth, and program incentives.
I am also very proud of our new membership system that makes the process more efficient and has grown our base by over 40% since 2017. And finally, transforming OCA National Board Meetings from strictly business to providing chapter development workshops and sessions that help train our organization’s leaders. These are just some of the ways that OCA National is working to build long-term sustainability in our chapters.
And while we do our best to support our chapters every day, I ask for your help in suggestions, commitment and support. OCA is a very special place for what our community needs if you devote your time and commitment.
This holiday season, it is our hope that you will approach your chapter board to consider making a year-end donation to OCA. It is only with your support that we are able to be as effective as we are. We’re looking to raise $88,000 by December 31st and can only get there with your help.
