If you live in Oakland City Council Districts 1 or 2, those districts have been going through a Participatory Budget Process to determine how federal Community Development Block Grant funds will be allocated. Residents have been able to share their ideas at town halls and now is a voting process. The highest voted items will be placed into a platform of priorities, and then non-profit organizations will be able to apply for funds which will be reviewed based on alignment with those priorities.

If your organization would be interested to apply for those funds, a representative will need to attend a mandatory orientation session on Monday, February 27 10am-12pm at City Hall Hearing Room 1.

Voting ends at 11:59pm tonight.

Thanks,
OCA-East Bay
