Join us at our 10th PickITup Chinatown

[OCA-East Bay]

OCA members and supporters,

We're continuing with our PickITup Chinatown on the second Sunday. Time flies when you're having fun, this is our TENTH one. Since then we've taken a lot of trash and illegal dumping out of the neighborhood.  

• These efforts have sparked groups like the  Chinese Community United Methodist Church and Asian Youth Services Committee to organize additional cleanups.
• We're also coordinating strategies with the Chinatown Improvement Initiative (co-sponsored by Asian Health Services, East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation and the Oakland Chinatown Chamber) which is piloting public art and other targeted interventions to keep Chinatown a clean and vibrant community.

Join us for the TENTH PickITup Chinatown on Sunday, August 13 11am-2pm

Meetup spot is T4, 1068 Webster. If you're under 18 you will need to bring a parent-signed consent form. We will be able to sign off on volunteer hours. Volunteers will get 20% discount at T4 and we're working on lunch and snack donations from local restaurants.
