Spokes Council Proposal (Video Included!!11)

Just to give everyone an idea of how it works. It's totally worth your time if you haven't participated in a spokes council before.

I'm working on a spokescouncil proposal/document for Occupy Chicago. Been looking at traditional summit models, occupy boston, portland, wall street, and vancouver. Reached out to some people at OWS and Portland for advice too. This document will probably work for the NATO spokescouncil that needs to get started pretty soon too. Should be ready by tomorrow/Tuesday. Thinking of trying it out this Sunday around 1pm if people are interested.

This is gonna be part of a larger proposal that would map out a weekly overall oc agenda looking something along the lines of:

Monday - Agenda Setting (open to all)

Tuesday - Nothing / NATO/Mayday-like action spokescouncil? 7pm

Wednesday - General Assembly

Thursday - Feather Circle Discussions (open discussions where everyone in the circle takes turns speaking on anything whatsoever, after everyone speaks then the conversation can naturally flow from there)

Friday - Arts/Culture Night OR Movement Building Discussions 7pm (directed discussions on a particular topic that affects the movement as a whole)

Saturday - Orientation/Trainings/Teach-ins in the afternoon  and General Assembly 7pm

Sunday - 1pm Spokescouncil

Sat,Sun GA's could be switched around if need be. Portland actually only has one GA actually fyi.

Stuff like the feather Circle Discussion/Movement Building Discussion might need some more organizational growth before they can be realistically implemented.
