Hi Guys,

It is Todd from Collingwood Ontario Canada.

I have followed your blog/messages all winter - you boys are hard core - love it - thanks for the entertainment.

I am planning on coming to Hatteras Early April to Mid May - wondered ...

- if I could hookup with you guys for some wave sailing

- also need accommodations, does anyone have a spare quite room they would be willing to rent out - I am 45, a non smoker, non drinker, and very quite (just need a room to sleep, don't need to be entertained), but very energetic on the water.  Sailed with Dale a few times last spring (Dale please forward this email to appropriate people, don't know if the google's groups address is working) - he hopefully remembers me for a reference.

As a separate request, also have some new gear getting shipped from Miami mid March - would like to have it shipped direct to someone in Hatteras, as coming to Canada shipping and border fees can be excessive.

In any event ... looking forward to a windy season ....

Hey Todd-

Definitely keep an eye on this forum or feel free to call the shop when you're in town.  Everyone is always welcome out on the water.

For accommodations, you might want to put a post up on iwindsurf.com's eastern forum- there are always folks on there who have an extra room that they want to rent out.  That's probably your best bet, if you don't want to go ahead and get a hotel room or something.  bear in mind, also, that there are some houses that start at about $500 or 600 per week that time of year...  Not too bad!!  Take a look at Hatteras realty, outer beaches realty, sun, surf or sound, etc.......  you're bound to find something between all these different sources.

Regarding shipping gear..... I find it pretty hard to believe that you couldn't find what you were looking for at one of our 5 well stocked shops on the island, but you're welcome to ship stuff to my shop as long as you show up with a box of diapers for my newborn (http://www.seventhgeneration.com/Diapers    please) !!!  One caveat, we can't really accept any shipments until the second week of April, as we're still under construction at the moment.  I can't speak for any of the other shops, as I'm not sure what their policies are there...   Also, if you haven't actually placed an order yet, you might consider shopping around locally.  There are a LOT of great options here on the island...
