Hey all...

 

I'm forwarding this message to you (see below) because it may be of interest.  Personally, I have found comets and asteroids to be some of the most difficult objects to find and see.  But, I don't want to deter anyone who might be interested.  Plus, the broadcast may be worthwhile.

 

Reminder:  We are putting together our Winter meeting and presentation - scheduled for Feb. 19th.  More info to share at beginning of February.

I was able to see Lovejoy quite well with binoculars about 6 days ago. Quite obvious fuzzy ball.  But right now the moon is pretty much washing out that part of the sky.

I think it was about 6 days ago I saw it nicely about 9PM to the SW.  Attached is the chart I'm using to find it.
