Hi all...
Today is the day for the partial Solar Eclipse.
It should start around 3:25 and continue even until around 5:25... a long duration.
Jim, tell us if I describe this wrong. If you put a pinhole in a piece of paper or large card, you can allow the sunlight to "project" through that hole to land upon another white paper (the display screen). The hole should be small, uniform and clean (not jagged).
Here's a web site to help...

I have also seen these things done where the pinhole sheet is placed on the side of box with the side missing or cut open. The projection then expands across the open box to the opposite side making a darker viewing enclosure. Perhaps this increases the display contrast - I don't know. This is a nice project for kids.
