Thanks for these details Rob. It is good to know that the 'Give responsibly campaign' is in fact benefiting those in need of meals. 

OBSID encourages giving responsibly, and will also encourage residents who want /are able to, to donate moneys to the library for the purpose of funding these vouchers and meals.

In May Rosemary Robibs at the Obs library handed out 226 meal coupons
for the hot lunches provided by Home SPM. She also handed out 156 meal
coupons for the hot suppers provided by Loaves and Fishes. Between
them this helps to ensure that street people don't starve.

An appeal to residents: instead of handing out cash, buy a meal coupon
at Spar or Pick and Pay and hand that out!

The City together (I assume) with the Haven runs a Winter Readiness
programme. This is intended to ensure that homeless people have a bed
or matress for the night in a shelter. I don't have details

Thanking you for accepting our appeal. We have had clients come in the morn sopping wet. I'm thinking of starting to give those that is sickly some porridge in the morning.

These are people needing to take medicine for TB or Hiv. One client gets injections for TB each day.
