This guitar is going to its new owner tomorrow, so it really is finished. It's my first real attempt at modal tuning with side mass. After a lot of trial and error, testing, tapping, playing, removing mass and putting some back on, I got the resonances in a good place for a non-live X-braced guitar. Madagascar RW, Sitka spruce, French polished. The heel cap and the fret markers are Pauduk and reclaimed ivory from an old piano. It sounds much better with 400 grams of mass added to the sides (yeah, that's a lot). But, it has been a good learning experience; lots of lessons learned for the next one.
