I have gold mother of pearl letters I want to put in this ambrosia maple headstock veneer. I have some of this Gluboost fill and finish CA formula. This piece of wood is a full 1/8 in thick and my plan is to put a piece of packing tape over the pockets on the top side (shellacked), fit the letters in from the back and ensure that they are in contact with the tape. Then I would flip it over and get the glue in there to seal it from the back side. I may have to do a couple of layers with this Gluboost. After everything is cured well I will sand to a 16th of an inch or so.
I haven't tried anything like this before so I'm open to criticisms and tips.
Thank you, folks!
