This tape is very forgiving on spruce tops after a wash coat of shellac and less troublesome when used with super glue.

I can't remember where I got it from, it's no STMAC.

Could be LMI, anyone recognize it and now of a brand name I can reorder?

Regards

Commenting to get updates as I'm interested.  I've been using 3M 301+ which is reasonable, however would be interested in a clear option.

Looks like what I use for binding with CA glue.    I use Staples packing tape which I saw recommended on some forum, (perhaps here) because it is cheap packing tape and doesn't use quite as strong of an adhesive.   I've used it for 10 guitars now - definitely strong enough, and if you use a hair dryer to heat it slightly when pulling it off, you won't pull any fibers.
