Color match with cocobolo

Hey all - I am working on a cocobolo 000 guitar and I don’t have a great color match between the sides and the back plate. Any thoughts on what to do here?

Wait. Cocobolo oxidizes on exposure to air and light and changes color through oxidation. The colors will be closer afterwards. 

Or, if you don’t want to wait, thickness and then leave in the sun for a few days.
