Thanks for sending goche.obo and your logfile. I am still unable to reproduce the problem; however, I'm not sure I'm doing the same thing as you on the same file. For one thing, the term you edited (CHEBI:28910) is apparently in your copy of goche.obo, but it's not in the one you sent me.

I tried adding a synonym to a term, and/or taking a synonym away. I tried this a few times with a few different terms, and in every case it worked properly.
When you say that the commit button "acts like it works but it is not," do you mean that you add/delete synonyms, hit Commit, click on another term in the OTE, and then go back to the term you edited and find your edits were lost?
