Many of you are already aware of the work on AI I have been doing with Jobst Landgrebe, an MD PhD mathematician, philosopher, bioinformatician and AI entrepreneur. The results of this work will be published next week in the form of a book:

The book deals with the properties of complex systems, including all organic systems as well as climate, weather, seismology and other natural systems. It argues that, when it comes to modelling the behaviors of complex systems, AI must always fall short. This is why, after more than 50 years, attempts to create convincing AI conversation partners have so consistently failed. There is still, as we show in the book, much that we can do with AI systems, including through use of ontologies; but there are also many limits, which we outline in regard to applications in medicine, life extension, social science, and other fields.
