Iheard back from Vmware Support and was informed that the other support case they had was resolved through NVIDIA. Their only note was that NVIDIA provided another driver that is not publicly available.

The symptoms described above are certainly a match.

The suggestion referring to KB 2125291 has not resolved this for me.

This issue is currently preventing me from deploying into production. A support case has been raised with VMware.

Does anyone have a resolution to this issue?

There have been numerous different USB-to-VGA, USB-to-HDMI etc. adapters on the market for years. They present themselves as a video graphics adapter and then the operating system uses them like any other monitor. There's usually a small delay and maximum resolution and refresh rate is limited by USB transfer rates. (I'm not talking about USB-C to HDMI, for example, which are just mechanical adapters AFAIK.)

I have been unable to find information whether these devices are using "standard USB drivers". I put the last part in quotes because I'm not sure if this is the correct way to say it. What I mean is: does an operating system provide drivers for any or most USB-to-X graphics adapters? Or are the adapters using their own manufacturer-provided (or translation chipset vendor-provided) drivers?

So I noticed my laptop's graphic driver was version 8.17 something and from March 2011. When I attempted to use your site to upgrade to the 15. something version, I was first told my computer didn't meet minimum requirements. The next day, I did not encounter that and instead got very far into the installation process when I received error code 8007045d which told me I couldn't install one or more drivers for some unknown reason.

So being the genius I am, I got it into my head to roll back my driver to 2006 status which royally screwed me. Now when I try to reupdate to the 2011 driver I had before, it tells me it cannot due to an I/O issue. I've tried running a chkdsk, I've restarted my laptop multiple times, and I've even run a full virus scan with MSE to no avail.

Fixing my driver is not only important for basic-tier gaming, but I need it to help operate my external monitor that I require due to an accident that shattered my laptop's screen months ago. However, this problem started when I tried to update drivers so don't get any ideas. But some context may be helpful. A few months after I bought this brand new inspiron, my wireless adapter just out of nowhere crapped out before I had any other issues including the screen. I took it to multiple IT people at my university who confirmed I needed to buy an external wireless adapter. Basically I think my computer's a dud half the time.

I entered my computer model into the dell website and they recommended 4 driver upgrades but for other things aside from graphics/display. I guess I don't really understand what's going on. I downloaded the BIOS update from Dell (which seemed to work) and that's it.

Also, when I tried updating my driver from the windows updates icon in the notification tray, I got error code 80070002. Not sure if that helps. When I update the driver from the graphics and driver settings, I still get the I/O issue thing.

When I say, "start from scratch" this means, you will need to re install the operating system using windows disk because it appears that your issue is not fixable through system restore due to registry corruption.

If your Windows system displays Standard VGA Graphics Adapter in Device Manager, it generally means your system is not recognizing the installed Graphics Card and its Drivers, and the system is running on standard Display Drivers. The battery is shot, or has very little life left in it. I have recently taken the battery out and run off A/C. I have since installed and ran several other hardware monitoring programs and managed to get a gpu temp before it shut down (with the video card driver loaded, not the standard vga driver). All of the indicators are showing a gpu temp of 83C average, which is flaming hot for a idle card. I am just wondering how long I can run in this VGA mode before it finally dies for good. Thanks

My Dell Latitude E6430(mid 2012) is acting funny. I updated the standarad VGA graphics adapter driver and run the Solitaire card game, and it says i need to update my video card and enable hardware acceleration. So I updated Standard vga driver until it was the latest version and still having the same problem.

What should I do. And I think its suppose to be running on Intel core i7 processor.

i am using a sony vaio vgn-ar51e.on the case it is written nvidia geforce 8400m gt cpu but when i check my device manager it reads standard vga graphics adapter .i tried to update but it tells me drivers are up to date.and i cant play any games.can u help me out.am running windows 7 x86 bit
