Would it be possible to facilitate year range and month range(instead of prompt) for user to select multiple years and months to analyze their business more in a trending way?

hi,
use pivot table instead of prompts put year,month columns in to
pivot table section
if u need only chart format than hide cols other than year&month in
clo properties

If u want to give year selection and month selection u have to go for prompts.

 

1) U always nee to know range of years , like group of 3 or 4 or2 ( how many years they want to group  i mean range..)

2) Create   column  inthe repo presentation layer, by using the case stmt , set the ranges then use that column in the prompt....
