Hi,

We are using ODI 11.1.1.7.0 and trying to connect to Master Repository from ODI Studio., but it says "Bad credentials "

We are able to log into the database using SQL developer with the same credentials and also into the ODI Web Console using the same ODI credentials given for OBI Apps above.

Not sure why we are not able to connect to master repository using the same credentials.

Any ideas or suggestions ?  Please advise.

We have also placed the wallet file and jps config file under ODI client folders  and edited the odi.conf file, but still they didnt't work.

Thanks,

Pavan

Pavan,

Add an entry in the etc/hosts file if you haven't done already.

Can you confirm host name and TNS are working fine? You can check both by ping and TNS ping.

Make sure you are trying with correct user which you have used during installation e.g biadmin.

Appreciate to share connection definition screen.

Regards
Naeem

"Bad credentials" refers to the “Oracle Data Integrator Connection” information… not the Database connection specifics. Specify a valid ODI username and password.

This was the final solution that made it work after applying the security steps :

Naeem,

It is working fine now. The admin performed the below task and the credentials are working fine now, but there is an error popping up after I click ok on the connection information. Please Check the screenshot attached.. :

To perform this security configuration, run the following commands from the Windows command prompt:

c:\Middleware\Oracle_BI1\common\bin\wlst.cmd

c:\Middleware\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\install\createJPSArtifactsODI.py embedded --ADMIN_USER

_NAME weblogic --DOMAIN_HOSTNAME obia111171w64 --DOMAIN_PORT 7001 --DOMAIN_HOME_

PATH c:\Middleware\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain

When prompted, enter welcome1 as the password for the WebLogic Server administration user.

Thank you,

Pavan
