Hello There,

I have installed BIAPPS 11.1.1.7.1 and running into problem when trying to connecting to Master/Work repository. After giving all the credentials(repository/db) when I press the test button, authentications passes i.e. I get 'Successful Connection' message but when I press OK button I receive below error.

1) I have created Master & Work repository using RCU for BI APPS (Bus_Analytics_Apps_Suite_RCU_Win64)

2) I belive I do not need to create any new Master/Work repository because RCU has already done so for me.

3) Please see attached snapshot files which confirm 'Successful Connection' & 'Error'.
4) Yes I have copied cwallet.sso & jps-config-jse.xml files from server to ODI studio & done the necessary changes to odi.conf file.

Any help/idea/pointer is highly appreciated.

Most likely, it's your JDK. What version are you using?

Do you have other ODI installations? If yes, you need a separate client install for each install of BI Apps. We have DEV, UAT and PROD and we have 3 client installs in 3 different locations.

If NOT, I would focus on the copied files and the config files. We had similar issues when we started our DEV environment and ODI would not recognize the repositories. Issue was due to our prior connection to a demo repository. Once we installed another ODI client, we got around the problem.

This would be one of many challenges to overcome..Please beware!

Thanks Dinesh & Naeem...Yes TNS names seems to be fine and I can see ODI server running on weblogic. Also odiconsole is all good.

I am going to re-install ODI again...however could you confirm what JDK version you are using... Also should I go for 32bit or 64 bit JDK ?

My client machine is Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard 64 Bit

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that this issue has been resolved now with the help of Oracle Support Community. They suggested that remove this like from odi.conf and it worked for me.

AddVMOption -Djava.util.logging.config.class=oracle.core.ojdl.logging.LoggingConfiguration

Any idea what this command in odi.conf is suppose to do ?
