Greetings,

We have three instances of Opal: LIVE, DCC, Backup. They are all different versions:

Live: 4.0.3
DCC: 4.1.0
Backup: 4.5.5

We use the Opal import to sync LIVE to DCC and Backup. We are finding with bone density image scans that the files on Backup are different. They appear to be corrupt. Looking in Opal, on all three the files are the same size: RES_WB_DICOM_1  Download[17.8 MB] and RES_WB_DICOM_2 Download[17.9 MB].

However, when we download the files from Backup, they fail to render. Comparing the files via diff, they are reported as different only for the backup copy:

diff live.dcm backup.dcm
Binary files live.dcm and backup.dcm differ

Are you aware of this issue? Will we need to import again?

Thank you,
Sean.

Further to this, the issue seems specific to downloading binary image files. I downgraded our Backup Opal instance to 4.1.4 and diff shows no differences.

Additional information.

The problem only seems to be with larger files.  All of the still images (<1MB) are fine.

Hi Sean,

Are the images stored in Mongodb?

The issue was fixed a while ago, in opal 4.5.7

Thank you. That version doesn't show in the repository. I will refresh and see if I can get it.

You should always use the latest, which is currently 4.6.4.
