Hi,

Some issues I have found with the device branch, largely due to the
MSI term inclusion and placement

-we have the classes acquisition_computer and computer,
acquisition_computer sounds like a role the computer plays?
-A chart_recorded is not(only) a chromatography device
- A chromatography_consumable sounds like a defined class - although
what is a consumable?
-An in-line_filter and syringe filter are not(only)
chromatography_detector_filters. However they can be used as such
-All the classes under chromatography_device are not a chromatography_device's
-Gas_chromatography_equipment is not a chromatography_device, what is equipment?
-I am unaware of the device, liquid_chromatography_valve. I am aware
of valves, which are parts of other devices
- What is the difference between a chromatography_instrument and a
chromatography_device?
- chromatography_detector should be a defined class , i.e flourescent
detector is not exclusive to chromatography
-column_chromatography_detector should be a defined class
-gas_chromatography_detector should be a defined class
-chromatography_pump_system should be a defined class for those pump
systems used in a chromatography device

Hi Frank,
Thanks for reviewing the msi terms. Yes, some are valid points you make.
I would propose we discuss these at tomorrows call (if we are enough,
since I know you are traveling ;-) ).
Some classes will indeed need to be refactored into defined classes.
Chromatography device is currently more a bin to collect the msi terms
that need to be checked. You are right, some of them are not specific
for Chromatography and we might align their definition and move them
respectively at some point. Since the msi terms currently do not get
released until an agreement over the ID policy has been found, one could
argue, that refining the msi terms is not the most important issue we
have right now. But this is definitely one of our next steps. I have
removed 'gas chromatography equipment' now.
Cheers, Daniel.

Hi all,
Ryan is traveling too, so unless anybody else s around, it sounds like
it's just you and me Daniel :)
Maybe we can prepare the list of 10 core terms as suggested by Bjoern?

Hello all
It will be only Melanie and me for todays call and as Melanie suggested
we will select our 10 core classes and relations for submission to Bjoern.
Cheers, Daniel.
