Hi Potters,
Happy post election day Wednesday -- shoutout to all the voters. Here are your weekly updates and reminders and links! Lots of info in this one, but please read--there's some important stuff in here....
!!! IF YOU HAVE A PERSONAL SHELF, FILL OUT THIS FORM TO KEEP IT: we are working on clearing out shelf space that is no longer in use, please fill out this form by Sunday, so your shelf doesn't get cleared.
PURGE REMINDER: come grab your bone dry pieces, or they will be purged today!
SUNDAY DEEP CLEAN SIGN-UP: we are going to spend some time Sunday organizing and sorting through some of the clutter that has accumulated in the co-op, sign up to help and get some service hours out of the way!
S26 LEADERSHIP INTEREST FORM: If you're interested in joining the leadership team this spring, fill out
this form.
SUNDAY EMPTY MUGS GLAZING SIGN UPS: Sign up to help glaze mugs for our Empty Mugs fundraiser this Sunday.
HOURS REMINDER: Please keep in mind that you are required to complete 6 service hours by the end of the semester, failure to do so will result in you losing your membership to the co-op. Please sign up for hours sooner rather than later! And, as always, please fill out the form linked on the QR codes after completing shifts so we can track your hours.
PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF: As always, a reminder to please clean up after yourself, so someone else doesn't have to. This includes putting the lids back on the glaze buckets, immediately washing any brushes with wax on them, picking up shavings and trimmings from the floor, returning tools to where they came from, wiping down surfaces, and throwing away your trash.
CLAY-MAKING AND CLEANING SIGN-UPS: Please sign up for shifts. And please do not edit the amount of cells in the spreadsheet or remove anyone who has signed up before you.
WORKSHOPS WITH CASEY:
"Beginner potters, this class is made for you. If centering your clay feels harder than creating your piece—or if it’s taking more than 2 minutes to get centered—it’s time to master the basics with guidance that works. Walk away confident, centered, and ready to create."
"Focus on refining your centering skills and building confidence in throwing larger, more complex pieces. This class is perfect for students who already know the basics but want to strengthen consistency and tackle bigger forms."
Thanks for reading. See y'all in the co-op,
Maya
