Hi everyone-

Welcome to or back to your weekly-ish email from the Pottery Co-op. Here are your weekly updates and reminders and links. Please read!

WEEKLY CALENDAR: Please refer to the weekly calendar for office hours. Please note times when the co-op is fully or partially closed. 

CLAY-MAKING AND CLEANING SIGN-UPS / WORKSHOPS:

Now all in the same document! Please refer to this spreadsheet to sign up for shifts and sign up for spots in weekly classes/workshops taught by Lucy P and Casey. Just click through the tabs at the bottom of the sheet to navigate through the different pages. Please don't make any edits to the sheet beyond adding your name to sign up for shifts, and please don't remove any one else's name from sign-ups in order to add your own. 

GAS FIRING: We will be firing the gas kiln on Sunday 2/22. In order to prepare we need folks to sign up for kiln prep, packing, loading and unloading shifts:

WE NEED CLAY MAKING AND CLEANING LEADERS:

Please respond if you are interested in leading clay making and/or cleaning. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, we will help you learn until you feel comfortable leading it. Please please.

JOIN LEADERSHIP: We are looking for more folks to join the leadership team. If you are interested in joining the leadership team in any capacity, we invite you to connect with us about open spots. This is a great opportunity if you're interested in working in the arts/arts management (and looks good on a resume/cover letter...). Please respond to this email or fill out the interest form here. You are also welcome to come to a leadership meeting at any time, our next meeting is on 2/22 at 11:00am in the kiln shed. 

CO-OP WELCOME DOC: If you're feeling a bit lost, have a look at our welcome document. This should provide you with a basic overview of how to get started making pots in the co-op. Second best to stopping by office hours or signing up for a workshop. 

HOURS TRACKING REMINDER: Please keep in mind that you are required to complete 6 service hours by the end of the semester, failure to do so will result in you losing your membership to the co-op. Please sign up for hours sooner rather than later! And, as always, please make sure the form linked on the QR codes is filled out after completing shifts so we can track your hours. If you anticipate not being able to complete your hours, please email us. 

PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF: As always, a reminder to please clean up after yourself, so someone else doesn't have to. This includes putting the lids back on the glaze buckets, immediately washing any brushes with wax on them, picking up shavings and trimmings from the floor, returning tools to where they came from, wiping down surfaces, and throwing away your trash. Don't make someone else clean up your mess!!!
