Here are your weekly updates and reminders and links.
- Please note there's a new tab in the spreadsheet for kiln firing/helper sign-ups. Only sign up to lead firings if you are a part of the firing team. Firings will be entered the sheet at least 48 hours ahead of time so that helpers have time to sign up.
! WE NEED A CLEANING LEADER THIS AFTERNOON:
If you are able to lead the cleaning shift this afternoon, please add your name to the spreadsheet!
CAPSTONE / STUDIO ART PEOPLE: if you are making things in the co-op for your capstone/honors/studio art projects, please send me an email, so that we can make sure to figure out a timeline for getting your work fired in advance of the deadline.
THE CO-OP IS PARTIALLY CLOSED DURING EXCO AND BIPOC HOURS: Please check the calendar and be mindful of this. You should also plan to not use or otherwise be in the clay room during the first hour of claymaking shifts.
PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF: As always, a reminder to please clean up after yourself, so someone else doesn't have to. This includes putting the lids back on the glaze buckets, immediately washing any brushes with wax on them, picking up shavings and trimmings from the floor, returning tools to where they came from, wiping down surfaces, and throwing away your trash. Don't make someone else clean up your mess!!!
PERSONAL SHELF REQUEST FORM: Fill out this form to request a personal shelf. Also please fill out this form if you have made yourself a shelf over the past few months.
BATS: Please remove your pots from the plastic bats after throwing, and put them on a wood board when possible. We don't have enough bats/space for everything to be left on plastic bats, plus keeping bats dry when not using them will reduce warpage.
See y'all in the co-op,
Maya
