Important Things to Know!

  1. Sign up for Casey’s Weekly Centering Class. Meeting on Sunday mornings, stop in to practice centering and to get tips and tricks on how best to tackle learning wheel-throwing.

  2. Let us know if you plan to use the studio over spring break (3/22/25 through 3/30/25) - it is especially important this specific break, since our Alumni-in-Residence will be in the studio, likely running most of the firings, coordinating clay making, potentially glaze making, and some demos!

  3. Reminder about service hours! We are quickly approaching spring break and it is recommended that you complete 3 hours before then.  Sign up for shifts below!

  4. Remember to log your hours!

  5. If you’d like to help with glazemaking, email Zoë Holland (zhol...@oberlin.edu).

Potter of the Week

This weeks Potter of the Week is…… Rosalie Coleman!

Rosalie is a 4th year TIMARA major. She has been making pots since before she could walk, a time when she would sit in the dirt and make objects with mud. She is inspired by the intersection of sound and clay. Check out some photos from her recent TIMARA recital, which combined fiddling, electroacoustic music, and pottery! She loves quinoa and salted oatmeal.
