Hi pottery co-op,

I wanted to share this message from Theo, a professional potter and pottery co-op alumn!! Theo's studio in Santa Fe, Green River Pottery, is accepting applications for winter term interns. I have spent the last two winters working at Green River, and it has provided me space to explore and grow and be challenged. Feel free to reach out to me if you want to discuss!

Winter Term Internship at Green River Pottery

Interns at Green River Pottery assist in daily chores such as cleaning, managing kilns, running the clay mixer. They have opportunities to join on-going classes and to learn from others. And, interns have unlimited access to time, materials, and firing, with the goal of generating a substantial body of work during the Winter Term session.

We're a small flexible studio, with a focus on independence & finding your own creative path. While one intern may pursue an interest in glaze chemistry, another may construct a giant sculpture, and a third may decide to build a raku kiln. Or, focus on throwing the ideal coffee cup. We provide space, conversation, and guidance. Many of our happiest interns arrive with little clay experience, just a willingness to work, collaborate, and ask questions.

Interested students are welcome to email Theo at th...@greenriverpottery.com or apply through Handshake.

Have a great rest of your week,

Maya
