Distinguishing extinct taxa

Hi,

I spoke to Peter Midford, our TTO curator at the Data Jamboree in
South Dakota. He needs Phenoscape to display if a taxon is extinct or
extant. This information is part of the taxa definitions in the TTO
but it does not seem to be included in the OBD schema. In addition,
Peter would like the Taxonomy Ranking to be displayed with the names
of the taxa. This might be an important component in some future use
cases. Is this possible in the current scheme of things?
