Separate and apart of and from the relative merits of "bike lanes"

 

The subject was prompted by a post re signals in Denmark that went green (I guess?) for bicyclists in advance of a "green" for motorists, that allowed the bicyclists to clear an intersection relatively free of competing mv traffic
