If you are doing the walkthrough now, remember to open the silver
floor panel of the kitchen cabinet and check if there is mold on the
wall behind the kitchen cabinet. I just found out that mine has
pretty widespread mold on the wall just above the floor). What a
bummer - I did not note this when I did my walkthrough in May. One
imperfection in my otherwise blissful life at OBBP. But for all you
new buyers out there, remember to check this before you close. By the
way, can anyone recommend a good professional cleaning company? I
need to get the mold removed before it gets worse. Thanks!

That sounds awful; very much appreciate the heads up! If anyone else
has suggestions on what to look out for, I would love to hear. My
walk-through is this week!

I don't know of a cleaning company but can highly recommend All
Furniture Services for furniture repairs, refinishing, disassembly,
reassembly, etc. I recently had a flood which damaged the wood legs
of multiple pieces. They come to your home and repair everything on
the spot and I thought it was pretty reasonable. Their card says they
also do carpentry, rug work and stainless steel work. I would
definitely use them again. www.furnitureservices.com or 718-268-2727.

Hey, I have a piece of positive news to share. I raised the mold issue
with the resident manager - just to see if he had any recommendation
for a professional cleaning company. Instead, he offered to come to
the apartment yesterday. He and his team cleaned up the mold and
repainted the wall. All these without a charge. Am very grateful.
