Yes, it is strange why they wouldn't want to get someone in asap.
Also, strange that someone wouldn't snap that space now that the park
is done. price is the only explanation...
Couldn't they invite someone for a year or so, rent it out with
options, etc. But i guess, since i'm not in that dustry, i don't
really know all the details. perhaps, it's all about long-term leases
only, and they don't want to lock in someone at X less Y, when they
can wait of year and "recapture" X. Given they it'll happen. Agree
about the banks - would be "dead space" after 6pm, not to mention
awful decor. they could put in ATM or something. I'd love to see
retail - Anthropologie would look awesome in that building. a few
small restaurants, could be chains, but funky ones, like a good burger
or pret or something that can survive for a few years thanks to a corp
parent.
