bug: multiple alert notification leave an uncloseable window on the screen

If the alert notification window tries to shows more than one
notification at a time then the second notification appears in the top
left of the screen and is unclosable except via file|close or process
explorer.

Probably doesn't happen on a mac because they use growl for alert
notifications.

== recreate ==

I've only managed to recreate this once by installing into a new profile
and restarting the browser.

== probable cause ==
An error is being thrown during the initial setup/animation process
inside the alert.xul file.

This is halting the animation and the window is left hanging on screen.
Window has no close button, and thus causes big problems.

Don't have time to investigate properly now, will look into it tonight
