Jerry, Thank you so much for testing and for your notes! Sharing with team..
I'm very excited that against all odds, it works on your old laptop! ;-)
You have a good point about keeping it open. We're planning to add an "x" feature this weekend and will be in a better position to make that call. Will let you know.
If you have any other experiences or suggestions, bugs - all welcome!
Our to do list, which also has some of our current bugs and features we're working to add is here -

Your feedback would not only be much appreciated but would make a big difference as we prepare to officially roll out next week.
Best,

Sent you a couple of msgs from twitterfox. Don't know if it misbehaved or what.
I loaded obamafox on an old tired laptop (figure you're like most of us
"in the business" and have powerful hardware.) I'll test it on my
quadcore in my home office, but I loaded it on a Sony laptop with a
645MHZ Pentium III, 267 MB of Ram, running XP Prof.
This computer shouldn't even run, has trouble opening a web browser and
running a complex java app. so I figured its a good test. Your add-on
runs fine, and doesn't appear to tax it much.
My initial reaction is the presentation is beautiful, and its a handy app to have. I'll run it alongside twitterfox.
My only suggestion is that I would prefer it to be a stay-on-top and
disappear with the upper-rh x click the way twitterfox does. But that
may just be familiarity talking because I'm used to twitterfox. Thank
you for doing this. We have a tremendous lead on most of the McCain
folks in technology, and that starts right at the candidates
themselves. Our guy can at least run a browser!.
